Claudia Senghor, agro economist – specialized in sustainability, agribusiness consultant and entrepreneur
Originally from Senegal, she spent all her childhood and adolescence in Senegal before flying to Canada for her university education in Agriculture.
Specialized in the processes of development and management of agricultural companies, she is also, ever since 2021, an agribusiness focused content creator on social media, going under the moniker “Agrobabe”.
Her goal is to actively participate in the promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship in Senegal and in Africa by helping the youth get informed on all the massive opportunities available in the sector. Her target audience remains in the African youth. She is also working to push more women to start businesses in the sector.
Hard working, motivated and dedicated, Claudia has a gift in communication which helped her work in the establishment of large scale agricultural projects in Quebec and, more recently, in Senegal.
Our story
Aware of the lack of information concerning the agricultural business sector in Africa, Agrobabe started sharing multiple opportunities available in Agribusiness on the continent, debunking false narratives about the sector in the process. Pleasantly surprised by the positive reviews she received from her online community, she wanted to dig deeper and also detail further the content she shared online for several months.
That led her to write her first book: Plan and succeed your agricultural project: from ideas to millions. The book explains step by step how to think and plan your agricultural project and establish your business. The book gives a plethora of precious information ranging from planning, to the choice of products or the different sales methods. This is the first book in a long list of educational content pieces on various sectors in agriculture and agri-food.
Agrobabe is an educational platform which aims to give successful futurepreneurs, interested in agriculture and agri-food endeavors, the chance, the necessary tools and information to launch their respective projects.
